Tracey is currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Corporate) and Workforce Director at NHS Education for Scotland (NES). A long term proponent of digital transformation, she holds responsibility, on behalf of NES, for delivering Scottish Government funded programmes supporting workforce improvement in digital and data capability.
Her current role also includes responsibility, as delivery partner, for various health and care workforce attraction and development commissions including leadership development (Leading to Change); Board Development; the Armed Forces Talent Programme and the Centre for Workforce Supply. Tracey has broad career experience. She is an independent Non-Executive Director of Scottish National Investment Bank and Chair of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee. She is a highly experienced financial services professional having held senior roles with Legal & General, Toronto Dominion Bank Group, Royal London Group and Scottish Provident. She understands the challenges of scaling businesses as she co-founded and went on to lead Bright Grey, a life insurance company start-up. She also has experience in sectors including FMCG, manufacturing, construction and real estate. She is a Trustee at Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and served as a member of the Court of Heriot-Watt University for eight years. Tracey was educated at the University of Leeds and is a Chartered Fellow of CIPD.
