Victoria began her career at Allstate in 2009 as a Graphic Designer for the Corporate Communications team. As the company expanded, her position grew into a combined graphic design and marketing role. In this role, Victoria worked with many departments within the IT division to develop marketing materials and strategies for their projects, programs, and events. From there, Victoria joined the Allstate Information Security Department in 2017.
In her current role as Cybersecurity Awareness and Communication Specialist, Victoria is responsible for the cybersecurity organization’s communications strategy. She focuses on the human element of cybersecurity and reduces risk from cybersecurity threats by using her skills to explain complex cybersecurity initiatives and promote secure employee behaviors.
Victoria’s passion for cybersecurity led to her involvement in the award-winning Allstate Cyber Safety. The program teaches children and adults in the community how to stay safe online. With the programme from the start, Victoria designed the sessions and was responsible for creating the marketing materials. She was instrumental in the global rollout of the programme in the US and India and to date, 20,000 citizens have been taught how to be more secure online.
Through her involvement in several organisations such as CyberFirst and the NI Cyber Cluster, Victoria is helping to promote careers and advocate for young people, especially women that are considering a career in cybersecurity.
