Wendy Chambers

Wendy is a highly experienced Dementia Consultant practitioner and has been in her consultant leadership role since December 2020. During this time she has led on two projects which have made use of digital tools to improve diagnosis and care for people with dementia. The early detection of Alzheimer Disease was a global project funded by the DAVOS collaborative and Wendy led the work in the clinical setting for Scotland in partnership with the project lead team at Brain Health Scotland. Currently Wendy is leading on a project implementing and evaluating the use of a digital pain assessment tool across clinical and care settings in Dumfries and Galloway. Wendy’s innovative approach and leadership skills, contributing to improving dementia practice, led to a Merit Award in 2020 by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. She is currently studying towards a clinical doctorate at University of Stirling.
