Cloud Services in the Public Sector 2020

Cloud Services in the Public Sector branding - hand holds cloud symbol

In June 2020 the Scottish Government published a policy statement reaffirming its commitment to a Cloud First approach to the delivery of digital services across Scotland’s public sector.

A core tenet of the Scottish Government’s Digital Strategy, the importance of cloud to the public sector was underlined by the disruptive impact of COVID-19 on traditional ways of working and service provision.

So what does the new Scottish Government guidance mean for you, and how can your organisation effectively manage a transition to cloud services?

The Event

The first of our new series of virtual conferences Cloud Services in the Public Sector 2020 provided an unmissable opportunity for delegates to access cutting-edge analysis and build a strategic understanding of managing an effective cloud transition.

The event, which took place in partnership with the Scottish Government on 15 & 16 September, brought together experts from the Government, Amazon Web Services, the University of Oxford, and more to explore the latest issues in public sector cloud.

The conference, now available on-demand, was an opportunity to hear the latest guidance directly from the Scottish Government, learn from practical examples of good practice and review the challenges and innovations that have arisen during lockdown.
