Holyrood Connections 2024: ‘Elections and how to win one’

2024 will be a record-breaking year for elections.

More than two billion voters in 50 countries around the world are all heading to the polls. And in the UK with Rishi Sunak spluttering in the polls, Keir Starmer riding high and the SNP struggling to find its relevance in this general election, are we at last witnessing the tectonic plates of politics shifting? Join Holyrood magazine and an exclusive gathering of politicians, pollsters, public affairs bods, political journalists, and key business leaders, for a night of punditry, psephology and pints, as we put the politicians and special guests on the spot and ask the questions about elections and how to win one. The evening’s panel will include:

  • Neil Gray MSP,  Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care
  • Dame Jackie Baillie MSP, Deputy Leader of the Scottish Labour Party and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care and Drugs Policy
  • Douglas Ross MP MSP, Leader of the Scottish Conservatives
  • Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP, Scottish Liberal Democrat Leader and Health Spokesperson

Below you can see a photo gallery from last year’s event which also coincided with the publication of Holyrood’s 500th issue and included a live screening of the SNP leadership debate.
