Paul has worked with the Scottish Information Commissioner since 2003, helping to promote and enforce Scotland’s FOI laws. His work focusses on raising public awareness and understanding of FOI rights and supporting FOI best practice within public bodies.
Paul’s current activities include supporting the Commissioner’s intervention to improve the Scottish Government’s FOI performance, working on the Commissioner’s response to proposals to extend or improve FOI law, supporting the Commissioner’s participation in the eCase FOI awards and overseeing the production of the ‘Open Update’ FOI newsletter. In the coming weeks Paul will also be delivering FOI rights sessions to various groups including social housing tenants and young people.
