The Open University in Scotland: Supporting Scotland’s Inclusive Economic Recovery

Open Uni 22 WP

In March 2021, Holyrood partnered with the Open University in Scotland for a webinar that focused on building an inclusive economic recovery.

In the year that followed, we have seen the publication of the Scottish Government’s National Strategy for Economic Transformation and response to the Scottish Funding Council’s (SFC) review of tertiary education. Therefore, this webinar was a timely opportunity to reflect on the progress made and consider what further action is required to achieve an inclusive economic recovery.

It brought together people from the public, private and third sectors, with an interest in higher education, skills and economic development, as we look to share learning and capitalise on the expertise of key stakeholders.

Our partner

The Open University in Scotland are the most popular university in Scotland for flexible, part-time study. With social justice at their core, their high-quality education is accessible to all, regardless of age, income, qualifications or geography.
