Scotland's facing the highest number of drug deaths since records began in 1996 - with a staggering 27% increase in 2018. With statistics showing Scotland to be the "drug death capital of the world", calls for the decriminalisation and/or devolution of drug laws have intensified. However, we need to act - this event looked at what we can do now to minimise drug deaths.
Sessions will look at the needs of specific groups who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, as well as wider population mental health; distress interventions and suicide prevention; and the recovery and renewal of mental health services, which faced many challenges before we were faced with those linked to COVID-19.
