Holyrood Connect’s annual Public Sector Data Summit will return to Edinburgh on 13 March 2025.

The use of data and AI across the public sector is on the increase. It is crucial that we understand how to maximise their potential to help us make informed decisions and improve public services.

Through a variety of session formats, including keynote addresses, interactive panel discussions and masterclasses, you will hear valuable insights on making the most of your data, how to store it securely, and how to address concerns around AI and ethics.

Public Sector Data Summit 2025 will also feature an exhibition, providing an opportunity for you to explore relevant solutions for your organisation.

The event is free-to-attend for those working in the public or third sectors.

Holyrood Connect publishes leading Public Sector ICT news in Scotland and hosts renowned Public Sector Tech events & conferences. You can view all of Holyrood Connect’s upcoming events here.

The opening plenary will explore the Scottish Government’s vision for public sector data in Scotland.

Our speakers will talk about how we better collaborate and make the most of data, and how this can in turn have a positive impact on people and the economy.

Nearly three-quarters of UK IT leaders are struggling to transform data into significant business value, as revealed by a recent report.

This session will explore how to ensure your organisation has the right skills and processes in place to ensure that data is kept up to date, accurate, and easy to access when required, and how to make the most of it.

Our panellists will discuss ways in which data can be stored and accessed, and how we can keep citizen information secure as part of this process.

As artificial intelligence is becoming more widely used, so are concerns about potential risks to ethics. Find out about how AI can enable your organisation to analyse and visualise data more effectively, and how to address potential risks and biases.
